I ditto the answer above by Linda. You can try to cut down on fatty foods and live a healthier way but there is no ‘cure’ for Lupus. Even all the people who try to sell their ’snake oil’ will admit that it isn’t a cure and hasn’t been evaluated to control the disease. Look closely at the pill bottles, it says so right on them. The problem is that lupus has flares, that is, it comes and goes. So people naturally equate that they took something and it ‘cured’ their Lupus only to have a flare up months or years later. There are hundreds if not thousands of people who want to schlep holistic cures but when put into a corner to provide any research they have none, just allegorical evidence. I know taking all the meds suck but it beats the alternative of not breathing.

Curing Cancer through Holistic Healing?

Has anyone heard of this or had experiences with it? I’ve heard stories of people curing (not treating) their cancer mainly through using the power of their mind. Basically training their body to purify itself of cancerous cells and agents, and also by eating in healthy ways and all that.

Please share any constructive sources or stories or any info you may have. 10 pts to the most helpful, and good karma to all the rest.
Edit: The type of cancer is Myeloma, which starts in the plasma of the blood. I can’t imagine creams working very well here, but who knows.

The victim/patient is a woman in her 60s. And, we’re looking for specific techniques (mental, physical, dietary…) that will help reach our goal of complete recovery from the cancer.

holistic healing does work, but you must change your lifestyle and be a believer. not just say that you are a believer in God, but you must live and eat like you believe in God. you must eat nutritious, wholesome, high fiber foods that come from their natural states. try not to eat chemically treated foods. get supplements, sweeteners and other natural foods from health food stores, farmer’s markets and grocery stores that sell organic and pure foods. eat a diet of high fiber, brightly colored fruits, vegetables, berries, whole grain, soy, foods and lean chicken and fish. stay away from processed foods as much as possible. pray and try to live by God’s wishes. drink a lot of green tea, red tea, and use healthful sweeteners such as Stevia and Royal Jelly. Drink and eat a lot of green leafy type foods. you can do it. but you must rest your problems in God’s hands and let Him help you.

That is a huge request as the arena you are speaking of has vast amounts of information and learning. I suggest you either search online for info. or seek out books on the subject OR find someone in your area that practices such things. There are schools also if you are serious in becoming a practioner.

Hypnotherapy comes to mind. The power of suggestion. Also meditation can be very powerful when it comes to words for relaxation which can lead to healing.

Do pharmaceutical grade herbs, extracts, and other holistic healing supplements exist?

I had a free initial consultation with a Christian holistic Healing Doctor with multiple college degrees. He claims that he can heal me but he wants to charge me $50 per session. He says that I also have to purchase the supplements, herbs, and extracts from him because they are of a Pharmaceutical grade and those Pharmaceutical grade Supplements, Extracts, and herbs are not sold to the general public. According to him they are only sold to people with his qualifications and training. He also said that I cannot just go to a health food store and buy whatever they recommend or books recommend for my illnesses because everyone has their own body chemistry and what resonates with one person may not help the next person. He says that I have to do sessions with him so that he can test me and see what Supplements, herbs, and extracts resonate with my body chemistry and that his pharmaceutical grade of products are much more pure and concentrated than what I can obtain on my own. Has anyone else had any experience with this? Is there such a thing as pharmaceutical grade Supplements etc.? My Father advised not to waste my money that he has never heard of such a thing. What do you think?

Technically there is no such thing as pharmaceutical grade herbs or extracts. However it sort of depends on the definition. If you go to your local pharmacy most if not all of the supplements and herbs and things that are in pill form are made by companies that make "pure" products and they will have testing done and they will have chemists and chemical engineers working to make sure all the tablets are pure, have the right about of whatever they are making, and are safe. That is basically what pharmaceutical grade is. He might get tablets and things that are more concentrated but that is all they might be, more concentrated. So taking the stuff from a store but taking two instead of one would work out as the same thing.

Everyone certainly does have different body chemistry but everything you said sounds like a complete scam. He is basically saying that you have to pay to see him, pay for the extracts he provides (probably the same as any other) and he says that a bunch of sessions for testing is needed. Just think about that. You will end up spending hundred and hundreds (perhaps thousands) of dollars.

Listen you your father, this is all just profit and things don’t work like that in any normal type of medicine.
