I am seeking natural, herbal, holistic ideas/remedies for chemo-related nausea. HELP! :)?
December 31st, 2009 | by admin |Thanks in advance for your assistance and insight.
I am in search of ANY remedies which are natural and safe. The nausea my friend is experiencing due to chemo treatments (and high levels of morphine for pain) is absolutely torturous; present at every moment of her day.
I have a few ideas from my limited studies in herbalism, but PLEASE enlighten me with any ideas you may have. I am interested in anything from teas to soups, poultices to bath preparations. Her specific cancer type is: bone, lung, retinal and lyphatic.
Thank you so much.
By the symptoms you have given here her remedy is the Homeopathic Remedy ARSENICUM ALBUM in 30C potency three times a day half an hour before meals. ARSENICUM ALBUM is a remedy par excellence in treating and curing Cancer. To read more about this remedy please click the link :- http://homeoint.org/books/boericmm/a/ars.htm
I have used this remedy on Cancer patients especially in bones and brain tumors with nothing short of amazing results. If you can email me her exact symptoms I can help you lots better but this remedy still remains her top remedy. I am reasonably sure that this remedy alone can cure her completely and mark my words she is going to start feeling better within three doses of it just do not discontinue it till she feels 100% better and keep me posted about her progress regularly. But you must read about it very carefully so you know why I have suggested this remedy. Feel free to email me if you need to ask anything. Her Doctor may object to the use of Homeopathy. It will compliment her conventional medicine and will not react with any of her regular medications and Chemotherapy nor will it give her any side effects GUARANTEED.
Take Care and God Bless you and your loved ones

100 ml Blend. Dose 20 drops 3 times daily in water: $56
(At the recommended dose, this Blend will provide 6 weeks of continuous treatment)
Very many cancer patients come to me seeking input into their decision whether to enter into or continue with a program of chemotherapy as part of their cancer treatment.
In orthodox medical terms it is not a question whether or not to use Chemo or Radio Therapy it is simply a discussion on which or what combination of these to use. Orthodox medicine simply does not have any other options.
Cancer patients are often under a great deal of pressure to make decisions about this sort of thing both from their doctors and from their family at a time when they are shocked and frightened over a diagnosis and probably feeling unwell in addition. I always sympathies with them in this predicament as they are on possibly the steepest learning curve of their life and besides all the pressure, fear and uncertainty they are most likely working very hard to help their loved ones cope with the shock of the diagnosis as well.
Nowadays with earlier and earlier diagnosis there is rarely a huge rush to make binding decisions about therapy and I advise every patient to take some time before committing to anything at all.
Most people coming to me for advice are either recommended by friends or find me during their own personal research over the internet and I always respect their predicament and try to provide advice individually suited to the patient and their own particular health history and circumstances as well as to their particular cancer.
My first advice, whatever the cancer or the circumstances, is to immediately start on a course of a powerful antioxidant and there is no possible reason for not doing so. A collapse of aspects of the immunity is the fundamental cause of all cancers and it is important to reverse this as soon as possible to offer the best chance of healing.
The place for chemotherapy is to directly attack the rapidly growing cancer cells using chemical agents that target such cells. These agents are basically strong poisons and they quite quickly put a serious strain on your metabolism and your immune system as your body tries to break these poisons down and get rid of them. See my detailed article on the subject. The herbal Chemotherapy Support formulation which I make up to assist the body to deal with the poisons is described in detail in the article above and the herbs I have found to be most helpful are; Chamomile, St Mary’s Thistle, Alfalfa, Rosehips, Thuja, Parsley, Fennel, Blue Flag, Ginger and Liquorice. I also include the Bach Flowers; Rescue Remedy, Walnut, Wild Oat, Scleranthus, Honeysuckle and Crab Apple.
You will appreciate the reason for the choice of these ingredients and how they compliment one another once you have a chance to read the article above. You should also appreciate why these herbs cannot possibly do any damage to your health or be detrimental to the effectiveness of the chemotherapy itself which is suggested by a few oncologists nowadays who feel that anything which makes you healthier might somehow work against the poisons. The fact is that the poisons do their work and the herbs assist your body by minimising the side effects.
All my patients find that they cope with Chemotherapy better while taking this tonic. The other advice I give these patients is that just because you find yourself able to cope so well with Chemo does not mean to say you should necessarily take more and more.
I work with each patient through the decisions about how long one should continue with Chemotherapy as we go along as Chemo is certainly not a case of "If a little of the medicine is good for you then more of the medicine must be better".
Most Oncologists nowadays are supportive of a joint (orthodox/ herbal) approach to treating cancer, as they know that current Chemo and Radio Therapy protocols are crude at best.

Marijuana. It has been prescribed by doctors, in states where it is legal to do so, for nausea caused by chemo. It will also help with appetite, and pain management. Before 1935, at least 50% of all the medicine in the world was made from this herb.

You can also try Ginger, Peppermint Oil, or DGL (Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice). Those are 3 natural herbs that help to soothe and settle the stomach… and they are a LOT cheaper than any drugs.

Hi,
I can only tell you what i did for my mum. She not so long ago had radio and chemo for bowel cancer and this made her very sick. She often had nausea and all i did was burn Lavender oil in an oil burner for approxmately 20minutes in her bedroom before she went for her lay down (which she did quite often). My mum said this really helped take the nausea away.

Well you have to be jarful when dealing with hers and chemo. However they can take ginger. This helps people with morning sickness, to nausea due to car rides, and even chemo patients. I take it, and it is the only thing I have found that works for my car sickness. As for your friend it is recommended to drink lots of water, and maybe that milk thistle. This helps the lives expel toxins faster. Also there is a product called Flora Essence. This is on old remedy that many people with cancer have used to reduce or even cure. I work in a health food store, and I find that this is one of the most popular products. Another suggestion is juicing. Your body needs all the nutrition it can get when you have cancer…and juice can really help.
Hope your friend starts feeling better.
