I had the very same thing last year about this time. I would have thought I was pregnant, if I knew it was possible. I had it for about a month. It would come and go. Then one morning I woke up, and it was gone. I cudnt believe it. But in a cupla days it returned with a vengence. I was unable to do anything. I spent 5 hrs in emergency on iv. It was diagnosed as vertigo from a 'virus'. A simple very reasonably priced, over the counter medication was prescribed . I'm unable to pass along that info, since e/one is different, and I recommend you consult with your physician. It dissappeared as it came, with no known reason. Obviously I keep the meds handy for any chance of reoccurance!
I too was a smoker. But never experienced anything like this when I stopped 4 years ago!
References :
I would guess that the quitting smoking is what's causing the headaches..probably the dizziness too. To get rid of a headache I gently pinch the skin between my pointer finger & thumb at the same time. It's kinda annoying, but for some reason, possibly a pressure point, it stops the "brain pain" :) Good Luck with continuing your smoke free lifestyle!!
References :
not enough water in our bodies and not enough sleep are causes of headache and dizziness. these are both symptoms of a migraine, which can be eased by excedrin, or extra strength tylenol. if the problem still persist consult your doctor for further evaluation.
References :
drink water..its supposed to help headaches! its a slow reliever though..so if you're looking for a quicker reliever try an aspirin...the down side to that is it makes your stomach bleed! since you enjoy staying healthy..just try and stick it out for a while...because i suppose its also related to you quitting smoking so suddenly..it might have been a shock to your body. visit a doctor if it doesn't improve!
References :
The scent of lavender works well for headaches. I get migraines myself so I use lavender lotions, candles, soaps, and oils.

As for the dizziness, it may be an inner ear problem. You may want to consult your family doctor instead of your chiropractor.
References :
Try boiling some fresh mint and inhaling the aroma with a towel over the back of your head. Its great for your skin and it helps settle my dizziness and headaches if I do it right when they start.
